I like that the ink doesn’t seem to dry out as fast as with the old style printer cartridges.Hopefully it lasts several years- I have really had it with planned obsolescence and I am tired of investing in items that only last a short time- hopefully this last well beyond the promised ‘you get 2 years worth of ink- implying the product will last beyond that- which I hope it does. We are all trying to function in the modern world but if it become too burdensome to do so more of will simply ‘opt out’ of all of it, so I hope companies start to realize that and build products that people can buy maybe 2- 3x in their lifetime vs having to fill land fills and dump plastic in the oceans. Anyway sorry for the mini rant but seriously it’s enough. The printer has worked very well for 1 month so far- I need to print scripts at home for my work which I feel guilty enough about. I hope I don’t need to throw this printer in the trash in a year- will circle back after some time has passed and up dated but so far so good- easy to connect to wifi nice image quality – having some trouble printing some PDFs in color- but that might be a local problem.

Excellent printer.
Really a fantastic printer for the money. The set was easy, instructions were complete and easy to follow. It connected wirelessly no problem with my older Mac computer. It prints wirelessly with ease. The quality of the print and color contrast I think itâs excellent for the money, better than my previous Epson printer. I like the fill up ink cartridges. I think it will be cheaper in the long run because of the ink as well.I use the printer for occasional printing, a few times a week, and my kids use it for school projects so for the average family out there thatâs not printing that much, I donât think thereâs much be on this that you need

Good Printer – 2 Years of Ink? I think Not
Packaging: Shipped in HP box that was heavily padded. The product was packed tightly in styrofoam and plastic and it even gave you a handle to pull it out easier which was a nice touch.Product Impressions: The directions push heavily for the HP app but I used WIFI direct and other means to add it to my devices, even my iPhone. Directions were easy to follow and took about 20 minutes to set up and test print. I think the whole “2 years” of ink is not correct as the bottles are filled maybe half full. They made them large to make you think it’s full of ink but thats not the case at all. Print quality is great and it isn’t very heavy at all to carry. I am able to print from my iPhone, desktop, and laptop wirelessly quite easily. I also wish the screen was larger. It was a lot of button pressing to do certain actions.Usability: Works for people who print from time to time/maybe a few times daily. I would not recommend for small business.Overall Thoughts: Price is fine, it works well, just think the whole ink thing is scammy.

Excellent Printer AFTER setup.
Excellent printer, but the setup was outrageously difficult. First, I have never bought a printer that required me to install a print head, much less two (one for B&W and the other for color.) Installing the B&W head wasn’t too difficult, but the color print head took multiple tries (I was almost ready to send the printer back until I accidentally discovered that the print head had to be tilted and then pushed back into place). Nothing about this in the setup instructions! I installed the program for my Mac, which went fairly smoothly, but required that I reset my Sonoma software to “color” since the default on the HP program was only B&W. The installation on my PC was another story. After multiple attempts to download the software and multiple error messages that said that I should try again later, I finally called HP tech support. It took almost TWO HOURS to get the software loaded, some of it due to the tech’s very thick accent that was extremely difficult to understand (I had to ask him multiple times to slow down his speech.) Now that everything is working, I’m happy to say that the printer works fine, but the setup was an extremely frustrating experience.

Easy connection and setup
Just received it today but I love it so far. Very easy to connect and user friendly. It is compatible with my MacBook Air. Only con was it prints slower than usual. I wouldnât recommend for people that have to print a lot out but works great for occasional printing at home for a couple pages.

Shipping took longer than expected but good things come to those who wait. I could not be happier. Pictures are detailed and vibrant. Easy to fill ink tanks. And after printing out several pictures ink level still full. Wireless connection to my phone was so easy but wireless from computer was impossible but that is probably because my computer is OLD.

Works great at 2.4 Ghz internet connection!
First off your router box needs to be set at 2.4 Ghz to work properly. If you only have a 5 Ghz internet and can’t switch it to 2.4 Ghz you are going to have a hard time working with this printer. So before you buy this printer the first thing you should do is make sure your system is capable of switching to 2.4 Ghz. The printer works well and prints really nice. It would be better if it did work at 5 Ghz but the nice thing is this printer is Bluetooth capable. Unlike a majority of Epson printers which for some reason are not Bluetooth capable. Why is this important? Because even without internet I can still print from my cell phone or computer as long as I have Bluetooth enabled. Epson for the same price range and even a bit more expensive do not have this capability. I would have to say so far so good. Going to give this 4 stars out of 5 because it does not work with 5 Ghz internet.

We have owned a few printers over the last 30 or so years. Most have been HP and we have always liked them and had good luck with print quality and features. The one sticking point has always been cartridge cost and reliability. And they have never worked well refilling them.Our last printer was a Canon and we will never buy one again. I had been watching the ink tank printers but price was the stumbling block. With the 5000 series the ink tank printers they are finally affordable.This printer makes very nice crisp prints in both letters and pictures. It does scan, the tray is direct feed from the rear top of the printer making it nice if you make water slide decals or anything similar. Super easy to set up and install the software, print heads fill tanks etc. Once on your network it just powers down and waits for the next time you tell it to print.The printer appears to be a winner and now we just have to test it for long term reliability of print heads etc. But as it stands we are impressed and do recommend this if you are tired of the small amounts of ink in cartridges and the high cost.

Bought this because I was done with cartridges that dry up before you can print a dozen pages. We are seniors – and although not total tech idiots, did find it very tedious and challenging to set up and initiate. Definitely not plug and print!!! Once initialization was complete it works well – but be prepared – every person and device in your household that wants to access the printer will need to download the app individually – and will need an âinviteâ from the initial installer. Itâs a bit cumbersome and frustrating that way.

A little larger than I thought but not a problem. Seems to print well and I like the idea of not having to buy cartridges every couple of months. Price point is very reasonable. The first print of the day is quite the procedure with lots of setting up internally on the machine. The operator doesn’t need to do anything, just wait. Inconsequentially the colors on the flat bed top are not the best.

Loaded up my computer with HTML support services that were more like as to buy ink and paper and collect your data.It was a nightmare trying to get this software off the computer after I returned it. No easy uninstall. Had to go to programs and programs 86x and manually delete most of it before I could get rid of it and then after all of that had to go to system restore and select the restore point to get rid of it.
